About Me
As a child I was forever making ‘wedding arrangements and posies’ in the garden…
It was while studying History at Aberdeen University that I got a part time job in a florist and felt I’d found what I wanted to do. After a quick change of direction I found myself in London, studying Floral Design & Business at The University of the Arts.
From this I went on to work as a Senior Florist and Manager for some of London’s Top Florists including Jane Packer, Moyses Stevens and McQueens. I had the opportunity to create amazing arrangements for many high profile companies and celebrities, educated myself of the vast diversity of flowers available, worked with some hugely talented florists and designers and loved every moment of it.
In 2011, I returned home to Fife, Scotland to fulfil the long held dream of starting my own business, bringing with me everything I’d learnt in London and learning lots of new lessons along the way. My logo is the work of the illustrator Johanna Basford, I gave her a list of my favourite flowers and she worked her magic! In 2012, I opened my flower shop in Newport on Tay and had an amazing 8 years running it alongside growing the Wedding Flowers side of the business.
In 2020 I decided it was time to adjust my business to changing times and relocated from the shop to a home studio to focus on the Wedding Flowers side of the business. While weddings are my main passion and the heart of my business I continue to do events, funeral flowers, special orders, and classes as I can around my wedding commitments.
I love nothing more than getting to know couples, inspiring them and bringing their ideas to reality. I always feel hugely privileged that couples choose me to be a part of their special day and I love that every wedding I do is unique.
I am proud to be a recommended and experienced supplier to many amazing venues across the area including The Byre at Inchyra, Kinkell Byre, The Cowshed Crail, Guardswell Farm, Pratis Barns, Cambo, The Rhynd, The University of St. Andrews Events, Balbirnie House Hotel, The Old Course Hotel and Rufflets Country House Hotel.
I love the variety of settings our beautiful part of the world offers for weddings and the imagination. I have worked in many venues and churches throughout Tayside and North East Fife and can advise on the best florals and styling for each.
